Son of Joseph Thomas Facey and Mary Ann Carr Facey nee Carr of Castlemaine, Victoria.
Brother of Albert Barnett Facey who returned to Australia on 31 October 1915 having served with the 11th Battalion, Vernon Garth Facey, Myra Kean Facey, Joseph Thomas Facey who was killed in action on 14 September 1915 while serving with the 10th Light Horse Regiment and was buried in the Embarkation Pier Cemetery.
