Son of Augustus and Laura Elizabeth Lyne

Private VICTOR HAROLD DAVISON LYNE (killed) was born at Nyngan, N.S.W. and was 22 years of age.  At the time of enlisting he was an officer of the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, Ltd., and was stationed at Bombala.  Private Lyne was a bright, intelligent, genial young fellow, and very popular wherever he went.  He was the youngest son of the late Augustus Lyne, a well-known pastoralist and stock and station agent at Nyngan, and brother of Mr. R.H.A.
