His parents were Charles Frederick NOTTAGE & Elizabeth HOLLAMBY who married in Mount Barker, SA in 1880

His brother Lance Corporal Donald Burley NOTTAGE served with the New Zealand Forces and was Killed in Action on 15th September, 1916
