When Allan Alexander Halstead was born on 18 August 1890 in South Australia, his father, James, was 44 and his mother, Ruth, was 37.
He married Ruby Ethel Violet Bock in 1923 in Queensland.
They had three children during their marriage. He died on 23 October 1967 in Brisbane, Queensland, at the age of 77.
