Alick Anderson was born in Cookes Plains, South Australia. He was born on the 13 of August 1896 and died on the 26 of November 1981. His hometown was Tailem Bend, Murray Bridge - South Australia. His job was a Railway Porter. His religion was Methodist, and he was also single. His mother Mrs Sarah Ann Anderson was his nominated next of kin
Anderson was a tall man he was 6'2 ft tall and 166 lbs his chest measurement was 35, 38 inches his eyes were brown, and his hair was dark.He was 19 years of age and his mother provided parental permission for his enlistment.
Anderson enlisted on August 18, 1915 in Adelaide. After initial training he embarked on the HMAT Borda A30 12th January 1916. Anderson was wounded and then moved from the 27th Battalion to the 10th Battalion. He was sick with scabies in October 1916 and not long after he was discharged from hospital, he was wounded with shell shock on 7th November 1916.
Anderson survived the war and returned home on 1, February 1918. He was discharged 8th March 1919.
He died on 26, November 1981. His grave is located at Centennial Park Cemetery, South Australia, Australia.
