    George Alexander Robert Mildown served in both the South African (Boer) War and WW1. He first served as a Private S.N. 218 in the 3rd Queensland Mounted Infantry (Boer War), and second as a Private S.N. 2259 in the 2nd Australian Remount Unit AIF (WW1). (source, AWM Boer War Nominal Roll, Murray p. 471; and National Archives Australia WW1 Service Records).
