Next of kin given as his sister Neta Olsen of Aalborg, Denmark.

Severin arrived from Glasgow, Scotland during June 1901 aboard the Loch Ness disembarking at Port Adelaide, SA then living at Tarlee, SA and Maryborough, QLD and living in Cook Islands for five years. 

On 18 February 1916 he applied for naturalisation at Townsville, QLD. On 1 July 1916 Severin took the Oath of Allegiance in Cooktown, QLD.

Commenced return to Australia on 22 December 1918 aboard HT Bakara disembarking on 14 February 1919 at Melbourne then onward travel to Brisbane by boat
