Biography contributed

Donny Gibson  - Written by Bob Fenwick

Don deployed to 1 ARU in South Vietnam on 14 May and stayed with that unit until 18 June 1969. He then joined 12 platoon on 19 June 1969 after the Dat Do mine tragedy. He completed the rest of the tour with 12 Platoon. He was a good and reliable digger, I remember him as a cheerful bloke and never seemed to get into any (much) strife. It was always great to catch up with Donny (and his wife Di) at reunions, some great yarns and fun, he could usually find the bright side of things. He is sorely missed.
