"6729 Pte Patrick David Baird, 16th Battalion, of Busselton, WA... was a farmer prior to enlistment. He embarked with the 22nd Reinforcements of the 16th Battalion from Fremantle on HMAT Argyllshire on 9 November 1916. After twice being wounded in France in 1918, and suffering from the effects of the wounds and illness, Pte Baird returned to Australia on 17 June 1918.
