"6729 Pte Patrick David Baird, 16th Battalion, of Busselton, WA... was a farmer prior to enlistment. He embarked with the 22nd Reinforcements of the 16th Battalion from Fremantle on HMAT Argyllshire on 9 November 1916. After twice being wounded in France in 1918, and suffering from the effects of the wounds and illness, Pte Baird returned to Australia on 17 June 1918. He died of illness on 20 February 1921, aged 50." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
