Brother of John Victor O'Donnell who returned to Australia on 12 November 1919 having served with the 15th Battalion.

Commenced return to Australia on 9 December 1918 aboard HT Argyllshire disembarking on 1 February 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane.
