Summary
''Educated at Hayfield School and the Sydney Grammar School. He was in the employ of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, stationed in Fiji, when in 1917 he decided to enlist in the Australian Imperial Forces.
During his military service he refused both Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Rank.
Then his battery was wiped out by an enemy shell at 8.00 am on 8 August 1918, he was gunner (No. 37446) 108 Howitzer Battery, 8th F.A. Brigade.
He was buried at Cerissy Gale, France."
