Harry Tolchard SITTERS was born in Summertown, South Australia on 26th April, 1896
His parents were George Hanniford SITTERS & Emma JARRETT who married in South Australia on 23rd November, 1870
He enlisted on 3rd August, 1915 & embarked from Adelaide on 2nd December, 1915 with the 16th Infantry Battalion, 12th Reinforcements on the RMS Malwa - he was transferred to the 48th Infantry Battalion and returned to Australia on 6th June, 1919 on the ship Port Napier & was discharged on 6th August, 1919
He married Myrtle Agatha TREBILOCK at the Methodist Church, Montacute, SA on 7th April, 1920 & had four known children, Ruth Joan, Bruce Lesley, Hartley Raymond & Betty Laurine
Harry died in Uraidla, South Australia on 23rd March, 1970 and is buried in the Centennial Park Cemetery in Adelaide
