Son of Frederick Ashley Vidler and Jane Vidler nee Haydon of Tweed River, NSW formerly of Berry, NSW and later of Chillingham, NSW.
Brother of Ashley Hayden Vidler who returned to Australia on 17 April 1917 having served with the 9th Battalion.
Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal
