Son of David Ogilvy and Catherine Ogilvy nee McNamara of Korumburra, Victoria.

Next of kin given as his brother David Ogilvy of Seville, Victoria. David returned to Australia on 5 March 1919 having served with the 60th Battalion.

Commenced return to Australia on 9 March 1919 aboard HT Kashmir disembarking on 30 April 1919
