Son of George Powell and Barbara GEAR, Lyons Road, Drymmoyne, NSW
Husband of Mary Jane GEAR, Edgar Street, Auburn, Sydney, NSW
George served in Egypt and Palestine and was wounded at Amman 27 March 1918 and invalided to London Field Hospital where he died of wounds 29 March 1918. Trooper Gear leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss.
