Brother of Amos David Roy Voumard who returned to Australia on 28 August 1919 having served with the 27th Battalion.

Commenced return to Australia on 31 August 1916 aboard HS Karama disembarking on 18 October 1916

On 31 January 1923 Donald married Myrtle Nellie Gladys Allen in the Methodist Church, Redruth, SA
