13 Mar 1918: Honoured Military Medal, DEED FOR WHICH NO 6519 PRIVATE W.H. GLOVER, MM 12th BATTALION WAS AWARDED THE MILITARY MEDAL At Hollebeke South East of Ypres on the night of 13/03/18 an intense French Mortar barrage was put on our front line, setting fire to a dump of ammunition, bombs and flares at Platoon Headquarters, Private Glover with great presence of mind and utter disregard of personal safety at once rushed from cover and with assistance succeeded in exhinguishing the fire, thereby saving the ammunition and propably the lives of two officers and a number of men at the Platoon Headquarters
