Biography

Samuel Charles COLBRAN was born in 1893 in Blakehurst, Sydney His parents were James COLBRAN and Matilda LOCKHART S/N 3026 -He enlisted on 22.1.1917 with the 36th Battalion Unit embarked from Sydney on board HMAT Benalla 10.5.1917 Samuel returned to Australia 15.4.1918 He married Alma E STEPHENS in 1919 Daughter June b. 1919 died 13.9.1919 He died on 11.3.1920 Samuel is buried in Woronora Cemetery in Sydney Anglican Monumental , section LL, 0035 along with his daughter June Link to his headstone photo http://austcemindex.com/inscription.php?id=2151915 His brother Walter James COLBRAN, 33rd Battalion also served and returned to Australia 5.4.1919
