Vietnam War Service

13 May 1971: Involvement Australian Army (Post WW2), Lance Corporal, 219567, 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR)

army service

I served for 3 years in the Australian army with B COY - 4 RAR, from 69-72. I mainly served in Townsville, leaving from their on the SYDNEY or the Vung Tau ferry on the 13.5.71 for Vietnam.
I completed my service in May 1972 and joined with the NSW police for 31 years, retiring with a medical discharge in 2003. I mainly served as a detective in Sydney station and finally in the Newcastle Patrol stations.
I still keep in contact with my army friends on a regular basis via phone or ceremonies across australia.
although a few in number these days, we enjoy the stories and our times many have passed on to the "parade ground" in the sky but enjoyed their company as wells their spirit. I LIVE in Newcastle area and intend to do so till I depart this earth. Have plenty of friends and enjoy life with interested in golf and meeting people socially.
