Private Nathaniel Arthur aka "Bluey"  Bonell (1925-1997)

Private ‘Bluey’ Bonell served two tours of Korea with the 1st Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), receiving a GOC Commendation. Nathaniel Arthur Bonell was born in Brisbane, Queensland in 1925.

He served with the 1st Battalion Royal Australian Regiment in Korea from 7/4/1952 – 7/11/1955. He saw some hard service with the battalion and received a General Officer Commanding (G.O.C.) Commendation Card from Major General West for his outstanding patrol work over a 12-month period in Korea. He died in Brisbane in 1997.
