Biography

"LATE CPL. BRYAN HUMPHRIS.

NARRACOORTE, August 3.- Mr. A. Humphris, district clerk here, has received news that his brother (Cpl. Bryan Humphris), who was attached to B Company, 32nd Battalion. A.I.F., was killed in action on July 22. The late Cpl. Humphris was accountant in the Moonta branch of the National Bank when he ennsted in July, 1915. He left for Egypt on November 18. He was 29 years of age, and was a fine stamp of soldier. Mr. Humphris has also two other brothers on active service." - from the Adelaide Register 05 Aug 1916 (nla.gov.au)
