"...Private Michael Joseph McInerney of Ipswich, Qld... A labourer before before enlisting in September 1916, Pte McInerney formed part of the 7th Reinforcements of the 52nd Battalion, and was awarded the Military Medal (MM) for his actions during the Battle of Messines in June 1917.
