Son of Henry Joseph Owen and Annie Amelia Owen of Victoria Road, Rydalmere, NSW

On 4 February 1920 Leslie was supposed to marry Edith Maude Leys in Salisbury, England but it was cancelled

Commenced return to Australia on 24 April 1920 aboard HT Bahia Castella disembarking on  21 June 1920

During 1938c Leslie married Jean Enid Shakespeare in Gosford, NSW.
