Son of William and Louisa Marie (nee Corniga) Thomas of Binnum, SA later of 11 Avenue Road, Frewville, SA; brother of James Thomas, Jane Frances Hensell Thomas, Mona Florence Clara Thomas, John Gordon Reginald Thomas and Ronald George Albert Thomas who was killed in action on 8 October 1917 while serving with the 10th Battalion and has no known grave
