"...2562 Private John (Jack) Adams... 20th Battalion, of Tumbarumba, NSW. A labourer, enlisted... on 5 August 1915, and embarked with the 6th Reinforcements from Sydney onboard HMAT Euripides (A14) on 2 November. Arrived in France for service on the Western Front on 25 March 1916... Took part in the Battle of Pozieres and... was killed in action on 26 July 1916, aged 23 years..." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
