Family interest
William was born at Warren NSW around 1892 to parents John Mason and Mima Mason (nee Thomas) John was I believe accidentally killed and in 1908 Mima married Richard Bricheno Coles.
William served with the 13th Battalion and was in France in 1916 where he was wounded and died of those wounds in July 1916.
Richard's son Cyril from his 1st marriage also joined the war effort,
I am of the belief Cyril joined the 13th Battalion because of his connection with William, then sadly in September 1917 Cyril too was killed in action.
Both Great Grandparents, like so many others suffering such tragedy.
