Add my storyBiography
This soldier suffered greatly during almost 3 and half years of service. Only two motnhs after joining the 50 battalion in the field Andrew is wounded in the abdomen from a shell burst. This would become the first of 4 wounds he would receive whilst on active service. On the 23rd of April he was gassed and hospitalised. His third wound was in the buttocks and required treatment in England. By the summer of 1918 one could assume the war had become too much for Andrew and he shot himself in the left foot fracturing three toes in the process. This resulted in him being discharged as medically unfit for serivce on the 13th of April 1919.
