9 Jul 1917: | Honoured Military Medal, Bullecourt (Second), In the vicinity of Bullecourt, France on the evening of 4 May 1917, ahead of the railway cutting, Private Owers rescued two wounded men under heavy shell fire and brought them to the Regimental Aid Post. He carried wounded for 24 hours, over a distance of 2000 yards in front of Norieul through heavy barrage fire, with absolute disregard to personal danger. | |
