Arthur had a brother Cyril Barrett, who enlisted, but because of a foot deformity was deemed medically unfit
Arthur had a very pleasant demeanour, but never spoke to me or mum about the ravages of war on the Western Front...He died in Tweed Heads pre deceasing his second wife. I think that he was basically a happy man, who sought a simple life with those around him he loved.. Val
