Son of Francis Henry Vincent and Ellen Louisa Helena  Vincent nee O'Grady of Sterling Street, Fremantle, WA. Brother of Walter Michael Vincent who returned to Australia on 25 December 1917 having served with the 28th Battalion

Commenced return to Australia on 11 January 1918 aboard HT Port Darwin disembarking on 7 March 1918
