The only mention of 1004 Private John Hay Wishart in any after-action documentation is in the Red Cross Wounded and Missing file of 1003 Thomas Langford Watts.
Informant 1537 Corporal Harry Craven states at Bois Grenier, Watts and a man called Wishart went up the night after the attack to help bring in the wounded - 29th Patrol (not they suppose having had word) fired on them seeing the men move off. Both were killed. Wishart was rushed off to dressing station but died on the way. Watts was killed at once.
