The death occurred in the Proserpine District Hospital on Saturday last week of Mr. John Lee, aged 88 years. He resided in Proserpine for many years and during that period was an employee of the Mill. He served over seas with the 4th Div. Tunnellers during the 1914-18 war.
The funeral moved from St. Catherine's Church on Saturday afternoon, Rev. Father McCoy officiating at the services. The funeral was attended by several Diggers, and the coffin was draped with the Union Jack.
