Son of Richard Dishon Omond and Mary Louisa Omand nee Garrett of George Street, Port Augusta, SA

Brother of D'Arcy Malcolm Omond who returned to Australia on 23 July 1919 having served with the 13th Field Ambulance.

Commenced return to Australia on 1 November 1919 aboard HT Nestor disembarking on 12 December 1919
