REGINALD ROY MORGAN, son of Mr. Benjamin and Mrs. Sarah Ann Morgan, was born at Burrowa, New South Wales, on 22nd August, 1892, and educated at the Burrowa Public School. He entered the service of the Bank at Burrowa on 10 th December, 1909, being transferred to Ganmain on 14th March, 1911, and promoted to ledger-keeper in July; to Junee in August, 1912; to Dunedoo, as assistant, in February, 1913; and to Dubbo, as ledger-keeper, in February, 1914.

Reginald Roy Morgan enlisted as a member of the A.I.F. in July, 1915, subsequently embarking for active service. In France, in January, 1917, he was promoted, in the field, to the rank of second-lieutenant, and in the following March to first lieutenant. On the morning of 4th May, 1917, as his platoon was on its way to the firing line at Bullecourt, a shell burst in their midst, killing five men and wounding Reginald Morgan in the leg and head. He was taken to the dressing station at once and attended to, but he died from the effect of his wounds early on 5th May and was buried in the military cemetery at Grevillers.
