"MR. JEFF STONE

Mr. Jeff Stone, a member of the firm of Job Stone, printers, Toowoomba, died on Wednesday night. Mr. Stone was born in Toowwoomba 45 years ago. He served as an apprentice at the printing trade under his father, the late Alderman Job Stone. He was one of the first to enlist in the Great War in Toowoomba, where he joined the Second Light Horse Troop and was in action at Gallipoli." - from the Western Star and Roma Advertiser 29 Mar 1940 (nla.gov.au)
