Son of Arthur Evans Hays and Ellen Hays of 'Stone Botter', Uralla, NSW

During 1907c Reginald married Marion M. Hays nee  Morse in Armidale, NSW. Marion died in 1910c in Armidale

Commenced return to Australia via America(at own Expense) on 26 November 1917 aboard SS St. Louis the transhipped to Sierra disembarking on 22 January 1918
