KELLY/WILLIAM JAMES RUSSEL
Kelly, William James Russel; age 19; born 1895, Lawriston NSW; enlisted - Taree NSW.
-one of three Kelly brothers who served in the Great War. He was the son of Robert Kelly and the grandson of Joseph Laurie of Laurieton [Lawriston?] and the great grandson of the Patriarch, Joseph Laurie of Stobo in Scotland-many of his descendants emigrated to Australia and many of them fell in the Great War.
His brother, Alexander Kelly died of illness whilst on Active Service in France.
