Eric was one of the two sons of John and Martha Larson of Dulwich Hill, NSW, who were killed during the war.
His younger brother, 6789 Pte. Sidney Oscar Larson 8th Battalion AIF, was killed in action at Broodseinde in Belgium on the 4 October 1917, aged 24.
Eric was working as a plumber prior to enlisting in late 1915. He reached the Western Front during July 1916 and was mortally wounded in the chest by shrapnel on 5 February 1917. He died of his wounds four days later in an Ambulance Train.
