Death of Harrisfield Boer
War Veteran
MR. GEORGE CONNOLLY HAZLETT, of Callander Rd., Harrisfield, who passed away in the D. & D. Hospital on April 17th, at the grand age of 83, was a Boer War veteran and also a sergeant in the A.L.H. of the 1st A.I.F. A native of Hamilton, he was a retired farmer and contractor. He is survived by his wife, for whom heartfelt sympathy is felt. After a service by Pastor Grainger on Friday week. deceased’s remains were cremated at Spring Vale. The casket was draped with the Union Jack ancd an R.S.L. wreath was placed on the casket.
Deceased passed away as a result of head injuries received when he collansed and fell in Lonsdale St., Dandenong, about a fortnight before the end. W. J. Garnar & Son carried out the funeral arrangements
