Private E. J. Bailey, mentioned as wounded in the 12th casualty list is a Portland boy, and better known as "Jack" Bailey. He is a son of Mr W. Bailey, of West Portland. Jack, who was a member of the Naval Reserve, failed to get away with the Expeditionary force to New Guinea.
