Mr. Macdonald’s name has been inscribed on the Adamstown Citizens' Memorial (photos, unveiled on the 17th December 1921, 233 names inscribed, 33 Fallen). Name not inscribed on the Adamstown Municipal District Roll of Honor. Name possibly inscribed on the Adamstown Masonic Lodge, Star in the West (No. 189) Roll of Honour.

There is no memorial inscription on the family gravesite plaque to tell us of the loss of their son during The Great War, so October 2021 I placed a Memorial cross adorned with poppies in remembrance of Lachlan’s supreme sacrifice for God, King & Country.

Helen Lewis contacted me that she is in possession of the medal presented to Lachlan’s mother Anne, but unfortunately, I could not locate on Trove the date of presentation of this medal.

Helen is looking for a descendant to be the custodian of this unique memorabilia from The Great War.
Please let me know if you think you may qualify.

Lest We Forget.
