Fitter Percy J. Heron sailed on November 10, 1915, with the Brigade. He took part in the battle of Pozieres, and was subsequently transferred, to the Artillery. Later on he was wounded, but remained on duty. Last Friday, October 12, his mother, who lives at Northcote was notified by the Defence Department that he had been again wounded, and was admitted to hospital in England on September 30. Fitter Heron played with the Fitzroy football team for five years, and was noted for the excellent game he always put up. The brothers have two uncles and ten cousins serving at the front.
