Son of Patrick and Margaret O'Keefe, of 5th Avenue, Windsor, Brisbane, Queensland.

Patrick Joseph O'Keefe (AKA - Granfield) told his father that he had enlisted under the surname of O'Keefe after his mother had refused to give her consent to him enlisting. He did not need his parents permission to enlist as he was over 21 years
