ONLY THREE WEEKS'
TRAINING.
The into Private Sterling Roy Melley had but three weeks' training in camp, and only seven weeks elapsed between the time he left Sydney and the time he received his fatal wounds in the trenches. He was a native of Liverpool, New South Wales, and attained the nineteenth anniverary of his birthday on the way to Egypt. At the time of his enlistment, he was employed at Toohey's cordial factory. He leaves one sister, Miss Rita Melley, who resides at 18 Cooper Street, Double Bay.
