On NAA site his name is spelt Stuart Phillip Hogg with his age as 20 years. When he enlisted in WW2 he gave his date of birth as 18 December 1905. It seems he may have increased his age for WW1 then lowered it for WW2

Son of John Morrison Hogg and Catherine Hogg nee Fitzpatrick of King William Street, Fitzroy, Victoria

Commenced return to Australia on 14 January 1919 aboard HT City of York disembarking on 27 February 1919

On 7 December 1939 he was promoted to Lance Corporal

On 7 Jamuary 1940 he transferred to the 71st Battalion in England
