Veteran Of Three Wars Dies In Grafton
The death occurred in the Grafton Base Hospital early yesterday morning of Mr. E. J. (Tim) Heeley, 84, a well-known resident of Grafton for many years.
Mr. Heeley, who was a member of the Grafton sub-branch of the R.S.L., was a veteran of three wars, having served in the Sudan, Boer and World War 1. Matron Huxley stated last night that Mr. Heeley was a resident of the Home for many years. He was there until he was admitted to the Base Hospital in May last. – The Daily Examiner, Grafton, issue dated Thursday September 1, 1949.
