15 May 1942:	Enlisted Royal Australian Navy, Signalman, B3618, HMAS Hobart (I), 12.10.42 - 16.11.43 HMAS Hobart. Was serving on Hobart when it was torpedoed 20.07.43.
16 Nov 1943:	Enlisted Royal Australian Navy, Signalman, B3618, HMAS Barcoo, 16.11.43 - 26.08.44 HMAS Barcoo
4 Oct 1944:	Promoted Royal Australian Navy, Leading Telegrapher
10 Oct 1944:	Enlisted Royal Australian Navy, Leading Telegrapher, B3618, 2nd/2nd Beach Signals Section, Naval Beach Commandos. Served Morotai, Borneo, Maura Island, Labuan. On HMAS Kapunda and witnessed the Japanese surrender at Kuching.
