Personal Stories
Before the war
Francis Edmund Rawson (together with Lancelot Guy Rawson and Augustus James Angel) signed his name on the wall of a limestone cave near Rockhampton. Two dates are listed: 2nd April 1889 and 1st July 1891. Near the name/date list and signatures is written "Rawson's Cave". It is unknown if this group of cavers were the first to discover and name this cave.
