Only son of Robert Alexander and Sarah (nee Smaills) Black, 24 Catherine Street, Leichhardt, New South Wales
Worked as an Articled Clerk to Windeyer Fawl and Windeyer. In 1922 took up grazing property at Hill End, New South Wales. Was Shire Councillor of Turon Shire Council.
