Years In Navy
Warrant Supply-Officer C. J. Woodley, 42, married, reported missing from H.M.A.S. Perth, has been a member of the R.A.N. since 1916. His home is at Waratah Street, Enfield. He has served on the Perth since she was taken over in England by the R.A.N, on- June 30, 1939, Other ships he has served on include H.M.A.S. Sydney, H.M.A.S. Adelaide, and H.M.A.S. Encounter. In 1937 he was awarded the Coronation Medal.
He has three children— Richard, 16; Patricia, 14; and Claudette, nine months. Mrs. Woodley said yesterday: "I have not given up hope that my husband is safe. "He always kept very fit."
